The Special Management Authority of the North Aegean Operational Program (Managing Authority) has been established by decision of the Minister of Economy, Infrastructure, Shipping and Tourism and is assigned directly to the Regional Authority of the North Aegean (GovernmentGazette791/B/6.5.2015).
The objective of the Managing Authority is to manage and monitor actions / projects implemented within the administrative boundaries of the Region of North Aegean under the Regional Operational Program “North Aegean 2014-2020” as well as actions assigned to it under Ministerial Decisions under the Operational Program “Crete and the Aegean Islands 2007-2013” under the NSRF 2007-2013. At the same time, within the framework of the NSRF 2014-2020, it manages both the Cohesion Fund and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, which was allocated to it by the Operational Program “Transport Infrastructure, Environment and Sustainable Development” and from the Operational Program “Rural Development 2014 -2020” respectively.
